These sliders are one of my favorite quick recipes to prepare when I’m feeding a group. With only four basic ingredients—Hawaiian rolls, cranberry sauce, sliced ham, and brie—they’re fast to assemble and easy to scale up for larger gatherings. They’re perfect for game day, casual brunches, holiday parties, or as a tasty leftover transformation after a holiday ham.

The combination of sweet rolls, tangy cranberry, rich brie, and savory ham creates a balanced, comforting bite. Because they bake together, the brie softens and the cranberry warms slightly, making each slider gooey and delicious while the rolls get lightly toasted on top. From start to finish the recipe takes about 25 minutes, making it a go-to option when you want something impressive with minimal effort.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice a package of Hawaiian sweet rolls in half horizontally, keeping the top and bottom layers intact so you can fill them as a sheet of rolls.
  3. Place the bottom half of the rolls on a rimmed baking sheet or in a 9″ x 13″ baking dish. Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the rolls.
  4. Layer the sliced ham over the cranberry sauce, then arrange slices of brie on top of the ham.
  5. Cover with the top half of the rolls and tent the entire pan with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake covered for 15 minutes at 350°F. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to lightly brown the tops and melt the cheese.
  7. Remove from the oven, use a serrated knife to slice between the rolls, and serve immediately while warm.

Substitutions and variations

If you want to vary the flavor profile, swap the cranberry sauce for your favorite jam or jelly. Raspberry jam and pepper jelly both work beautifully, offering either a sweeter or spicier contrast to the ham and cheese. For a richer pork flavor, consider using a bacon jam in place of cranberry.

If you prefer a different cheese, brie can be replaced with Swiss or provolone for a milder, familiar melt. For extra texture, add a thin layer of crunchy lettuce or arugula after baking for a fresh bite.

How to keep them warm

To keep the sliders warm after baking, reduce the oven temperature to 200°F and cover the pan loosely with foil. This low setting will maintain warmth without overcooking the rolls or drying out the filling until you are ready to serve.

Storage and reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days. Sliders can be eaten cold or reheated. To reheat, place them on a baking sheet, cover with foil, and warm in a 350°F oven for about 10 minutes or until heated through. This preserves the texture of the rolls and melts the cheese again without making the bread soggy.

Kitchen tools and pantry items

  • Rimmed baking sheet or 9″ x 13″ baking dish
  • Serrated knife for slicing the rolls cleanly
  • Aluminum foil to cover while baking
  • Small spatula or spoon for spreading cranberry sauce
