These Naan Pizza Rolls are an easy, crowd-pleasing appetizer you can make in under 20 minutes. Soft, garlic-flavored naan is filled with basil pesto, shredded mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes, then rolled and baked until the cheese is melted and gooey. They make a wonderful addition to holiday gatherings, cocktail parties, family dinners or casual get-togethers.
Naan Pizza Rolls Ingredients
- 2 pieces garlic naan
- ¼ cup basil pesto
- ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes (drained and chopped if packed in oil)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- ¼ tsp dried basil
Naan Pizza Rolls Instructions
Follow these simple steps to make about 12 pizza rolls.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Warm the garlic naan in the microwave for 45–60 seconds, just until soft and pliable.
- Slice each piece of garlic naan into 5–6 triangular wedges.

- About an inch from the wide end of each triangle, spread roughly a teaspoon of basil pesto.
- Top the pesto with about a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella and 4–5 pieces of sun-dried tomato.

- Starting from the top (the wide end), roll each triangle down toward the point to form a little roll.

- Repeat until all slices are rolled. Arrange the pizza rolls on a baking stone or a lined baking sheet, seam side down.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, crushed garlic and dried basil. Brush this garlic butter over each roll to add flavor and encourage browning.

- Bake in the preheated oven for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the edges of the naan are lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm as an appetizer, snack or fun side.
Serving Suggestions
Serve the naan pizza rolls with small bowls of extra pesto, marinara sauce or a light vinaigrette for dipping. They pair well with a simple green salad or a platter of fresh vegetables for a more complete party spread.

Tips and Variations
- If you don’t have garlic naan, plain naan or flatbread will work — brush with a little garlic butter first.
- Swap or add other fillings: thinly sliced pepperoni, cooked chicken, roasted vegetables or a mix of cheeses (fontina, provolone or cheddar) for different flavor profiles.
- For a fresher flavor, use fresh basil leaves in place of dried basil when brushing the butter, or mix a little lemon zest into the butter for brightness.
- To make bite-sized pieces for a large party, cut the triangles slightly smaller or slice the finished rolls in half once cooled slightly.
Make-Ahead, Storage and Reheating
You can prepare the rolls up to the point of brushing with butter, then refrigerate them on a tray covered with plastic wrap for a few hours before baking. Once baked, store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven for 6–8 minutes or until warmed through—this helps keep the naan crisp and the cheese melty. Avoid microwaving if you want to preserve texture.
